Opened in September 2011, the Museum of the Bavarian Kings has added to the extensive cultural offerings in Hohenschwangau. The history of the Wittelsbach dynasty from its beginnings to the present time is presented with the latest museum technology and informative exhibits which the story to life.

The museum is located on the Alpsee in the former Alpenrose Grand Hotel, completely modernized and adapted to its new purpose. The large panoramic windows let you enjoy fabulous views of the Alps and the royal castles.
